OUTLINE / OUTLINE + WINS MATERIAL PRIZE 2018

With the company Strasser AG Thun , cabsdesign has gained a new partner in Switzerland. The company, which has developed into the "strasserthun" brand in recent years, processes extraordinary materials in its workshops in Thun. Their work is carried out with great passion and the highest quality standards for interior fittings. At a joint presentation in the "punkt6" showroom in Thun, planners and customers had the opportunity to get to know the cabsdesign collection and the material Nitona up close. In the future, Strasserthun will distribute our products in Switzerland - we look forward to our partnership and upcoming exciting projects.

OUTLINE / OUTLINE + WINS MATERIAL PRIZE 2018

The acoustic wall modules OUTLINE and OUTLINE + were awarded the MATERIALPREIS 2018 in the Design category. Jury statement: "The acoustic panels Outline and Outline + by cabs design impress with their three-dimensional structures, which are made possible by digital cutting technology. The sandwich construction of the base material Nitona® and the wool felt lamination result in a high-contrast color combination - the implementation is novel and exciting ".

EXHIBITION AT THE INDEX 2018 / DUBAI

At the exhibition INDEX 2018, cabs design was represented with its own stand as part of the special exhibition VENTURA DUBAI. The complete cabs design collection was presented for the first time, including the new generation of CALM luminaires, which combines excellent light quality with high sound absorption and can be controlled using Dali or Bluetooth. The acoustically effective materials and products, which have not yet been widely used in the Middle East, attracted a great deal of attention and led to numerous new contacts.

PRESENTATION AT THE ARCHITECT@WORK DÜSSELDORF

The cabs design products OUTLINE Gradient and the newly developed modular wall panel TAC-TILE designed by Bernd Benninghoff was presented at the trade fair architect@work Düsseldorf 2017. The wool felt laminated, foldable acoustic modules can be arranged according to requirements thus offering an individual design of wall surfaces. The acoustically efficient wall claddings that can be combined of 24 colours are, with immediate effect, part of the cabs design collection.

COOPERATION WITH SPINNEYBECK/FILZFELT

On June 1, 2017 the companies cabs design and Spinneybeck/FilzFelt Enterprises concluded a cooperation agreement. Spinneybeck / FilzFelt - a subsidary of Knoll International is the North American market leader in the leather and felt processing industry. In the future, a selection of cabs design products will be produced and marketed under license by Spinneybeck/ FilzFelt on the American, Canadian, Australian and South Eastern market. We are looking forward to the international cooperation.

SCALE WINS DESIGN AWARD

NeoCon 2017, Chicago

For the first time, SCALE was presented at this year's NeoCon in Chicago on the booth of Knoll International. During the biggest North American exhibition for office furniture, SCALE received the design award HiP Award, in the category Architectural Products.

LIGHT & BUILDING 2016

At Light &Building, the world’s leading trade fair for lighting and building services technology in Frankfurt the products SCALE and CONE were on display. Lighting company RZB and ERS EuRopeSystems used CABSDESIGN products as part of their exhibition design.

SCALE CONFIGURATOR

CABSDESIGN launched a very helpful design tool for their acoustic wall modules SCALE. The configurator can be used either by private or professional designers. Just type in your wall dimensions, design your individual acoustic solution in shape and colour and request a personal quote.

CABSDESIGN PRODUCTS ACOUSTICALLY TESTED

CABSDESIGN products were tested in the reverberation room at the University of Applied Sciences Lübeck and proofed their convincing acoustic properties. Detailed results and certificates can be found in our login area.

DUTCH DESIGN WEEK 2015

For the first time CABS DESIGN participated in an International Design Festival at the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. The exhibition stand at the Klokgebouw presented a range of material experiments with the fibre composite NITONA which led to the products CONE,SCALE and QUADRUM. We were delighted about the large number of visitors and the encouraging feedback. Thanks for your visit.

INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR COLOGNE 2015

In January 2015, the prototypes of the project, "Material als Design Impuls" from the University of Applied Sciences Mainz, were presented to a broad public at the fair booth. The new fibre composite products had very good feedback which was both, a motivation for the young designers and an incentive for CABS DESIGN to start the development of a range of products.

MATERIAL ALS DESIGN IMPULS

In the context of the project series, "Material als Design Impuls," the Interior Design course of the University of Applied Sciences Mainz, realised a project under the direction of Prof. Bernd Benninghoff during the summer semester 2014. The projects focused on investigating the design possibilities of textile fibre composites. In close cooperation with M&K Filze and Filzfabrik Fulda new application possibilities and processing technologies of the material have been investigated in the interplay between product and space. The highly convincing results of the project inspired the newly founded company CABS DESIGN to transform the concepts of the students into marketable series products together with the designers.
